Websocket support for Webroar

Reported by Dr. Frank J. Mabry, Jr. | June 14th, 2012 @ 07:18 AM

I posted this at the Google group for "WebROaR - Ruby Application Server" but I want to be sure it also is seen by those who read this site:

Has anyone considered what would be needed to add websocket (from html5) to webroar? I use webroar to support multiple applications written by students. Each term anywhere from 20 to 40 new applications are attempted by students. Several of the applications have generated ongoing supports (that are used well after the students complete the course). These applications tend to be VERY communication heavy and frequently use capabilities that websocket support is intended to improve.
